Cheap and tasty

Probably the best food you can find in Porto. Home cooking at its finest. Portions are not too big, but you won't be leaving hungry. Be sure to try their desserts as well, the cakes are also homemade and very delicious!

We had an exceptional meal here. Great service. Warm and cozy. Nice wine. And the almond pudding? The name doesn’t do it an ounce of justice. Exquisite. One of the best desserts I’ve ever had... but we couldn’t get the recipe! We’ll have to come back soon.

Every thing from the food to the decoration of this place remembers your grandma's house. Food is delicious, prices are very fair and the staff are awesome! Unmissable place!

Beautiful and cozy family-owned restaurant. Simple traditional portuguese food at its best. Please try the octupus tempura and the cod-fishcakes. Mother in the kitchen and daughter in the front of house create a lovely and intimate atmosphere. Also very cheap considering the quality of the food. Must try!

A family owned business. They don’t speak English but the menu is translated for those who don’t understand Portuguese. It was a small place, very clean, very peaceful (we arrived there at 9:30 and the kitchen closes at 10, at least now during curfew time). I can’t say anything bad about the food because it was delicious, I’m still dreaming about the fried octopus! Also, try the codfish cakes as a starter!For a few starters, two main fish dishes, a dessert and a bottle of wine we spent 45€ in total, a little above the average for the price range in Porto, but totally worth it for a nice cute dinner in Foz do Douro. Voltarei com certeza, senhora!

Nice place and nice food

Little, local place. We visited it in February on Wednesday and there were only local people. Bashed bacalhau was ok, rissoles were perfect. Wine wasn't extremely cheap but ok. Staff doesn't speak fluent English, but the service was good and friendly. I would like the place more if the music was from some designated playlist (ideally Portuguese music) instead of just regular radio, which ruined the atmosphere a bit.

I ordered the fried octopus with octopus rice and fried hake with tomato rice. Both was delicious.

Very friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. Don't expect anything fancy, it's down to earth, honest kitchen but very tasty. Reasonable prices. Tomatoe rice surprisingly good albeit simple.

I was hungry and around, before going to the airport, ggl map-ed. 4,5 stars, etc. Great homemade food. Tasty, simple but elaborated. It left me a very good taste for my last lunch in Portugal.

Amazing down to earth food. We ordered a fish soup which was great and octopus with rice - also amazing. Place was busy during lunch so I think needs reservation.

A nice restaurant with very nice people, and "almost" home made food. It could be better if it really respected its origins and be just a little bit less tourist oriented.

Very kind, but the food is salty... for me. Maybe I ordered something salty; just in front of the restaurant, a mini was parked and a stray cat drowsed on its hood
